Hot Shot’s Secret EDT+ Winter Defense 7-in-1 Anti-Gel Fuel Booster Gets MOTOR Top 20 Award

Lubrication Specialties, manufacturer of Hot Shot’s Secret, is pleased to announce EDT+ Winter Defense, a 7-in-1 fuel booster, has been voted to be a recipient of the MOTOR Top 20 Award for 2023. MOTOR’s Top 20 Awards is an annual competition of products that are either new or existing products that have demonstrated a substantial improvement. The products are judged by industry peers through an online voting system to determine the final 20 that deserves recognition as a Top 20 for the automotive aftermarket. Lubrication Specialties Brand Manager Josh Steinmetz will accept the award at the 2023 AAPEX Expo in Las Vegas.

EDT+ Winter Defense fuel additive combines all the values of Hot Shot’s Secret’s best-selling fuel additive Everyday Diesel Treatment such as increased lubricity, fuel economy, power, and MPG, with anti-gel properties to reduce fuel line freeze-ups during cold weather. Introduced in September 2022, EDT+ Winter Defense is a preferred product for diesel engines when temperatures start to drop to improve cold weather operability and reduce hard starts by preventing paraffin wax precipitation during cold weather. By minimizing the size of the wax crystals, fuel can travel through the fuel filter at temps below 20°F, the cloud point of diesel fuel. EDT+ Winter Defense is recommended for use in any on-or-off-road diesel vehicle including cars, trucks, heavy-duty, semi-trucks, vans, buses, heavy and agricultural equipment, or utility vehicles.

While originally, the competition was mostly directed to tools and equipment, the competition has opened in recent years to any product that is an innovation with a significant improvement.
