Dog Backs Motorhome Down Boat Ramp

Professional bass angler Eric Jackson towed his boat to Lake Sam Rayburn in Texas to prepare for an upcoming tournament. He backed into position on the launch ramp and got out to get his boat ready for the water when suddenly the motorhome that he uses to tow the boat started rolling toward the water — even though there was no one in the vehicle.

But there were two dogs, a pair of Dalmations and the 2-year-old, Bodi, apparently stepped on the gearshift switch to set the 38’ motorhome in motion.

A group of people who were also on the water caught the whole thing on video, from the motorhome reverse lights coming on to Jackson running around, flinging the door open and trying to stop the impending flood in his vehicle. But by the time he got his foot on the brake, however, the back wheels were floating.

The group that filmed the incident also helped Jackson get the motorhome out of the lake after it sailed away from the boat ramp. Jackson posted a video of the retrieval to his Facebook page, along with an ankle-deep layer of water throughout the vehicle and footage of his two Dalmatians hanging out in the passenger seat.
