Pleasure-Way Presents the 2018 Plateau FL

Pleasure-Way, which manufactures Class B motorhomes, has another compact model The Plateau FL. It combines the benefits of a front lounge area with the practicality of the rear power sofa arrangement to create two separate living spaces, something rarely found in a Class B motorhome.

The front lounge utilizes two captain’s chairs that swivel to form a second dining and work area that comes equipped with a Corian® topped workstation, 24” flat screen TV, reclining chairs and optional front table location. The power sofa has memory foam for added comfort.

The galley features a flip-up Corian® countertop extension that facilitates food prep and serving for inside and outside dining. Appliances include a 3.8-cubic foot refrigerator, a microwave/convection oven and a two-burner flush-mount LP stove. The large wet head includes a Thetford china bowl toilet, a medicine cabinet and a sink that converts easily to a shower.

So you can enjoy the outdoors, the Plateu FL has a power awning, LED porch light and a 110-volt plug.

For entertainment, there are front and rear 24” LED LCD TVs with Blu-ray players on swing-out arms. The Plateau FL has a cable TV connection and a Winegard digital TV antenna with a signal booster.

Electrical equipment includes dual 7” touchscreen control panels, multiplex wires, dimmable lighting, LED lights, a 2.5kW Onan Lp generator, a 45-amp converter with a lithium charger, a 2000-watt sine-wave inverter and a Coach battery disconnect switch.

To keep everybody comfortable, there’s an 11,000-BTU rooftop air conditioner and a 16,000 BTU auto-ignite LP furnace. A low-profile Fan-Tastic vent fan has a rain sensor.

For towing, the Plateau FL comes with a 5,000-pound trailer hitch and appropriate wiring. The Class B motorhome has a GVWR of 11,030 pounds and is built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis. Power is provided by a 3.0L V6 Blue Tec turbo diesel rated at 188 hp mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Fuel capacity is 24.5 gallons and the fuel cap locks closed. Power windows, door locks and remote keyless entry come standard as does a tilt wheel.

For driver convenience, there’s also an in-dash navigation and audio system, a rear-view camera, Mercedes collision prevention assist, high-beam assist, blind-spot assist and lane keeping assist.
